Job description
Company Description TokenQuest is a leading blockchain solution provider headquartered in Toronto, committed to empowering Web3 projects through innovative tools that enhance user engagement via token utility. Our flagship product is an advanced Discord bot designed to gamify community interaction. At TokenQuest, we aim to create a dynamic ecosystem that supports projects at any stage of development, driving growth and adoption in the Web3 space. Most if not all the content will not be made for TokenQuest, it will be made for Fable, a new sister company focused on events and content in the tech industry: https://www.yourfable.co/ The Role: Build a Show From Day One We are filming the pilot season of "Startup Speed Run," a new reality series where founders compete to build a revenue-generating business in just 8 hours. https://www.yourfable.co/startup-speedrun We are looking for a Media/Production Student to act as the right hand to the Host. We are not a massive TV network; we are a startup media brand. We don't have a 50-person crew. We have a vision, a venue, and a plan. We need you to help us capture it. The Honest Deal:• We are not expecting you to be a veteran producer. We know you are still learning.• We do not expect you to bring expensive gear. We provide the cameras.• We do not expect you to run the show alone. We figure it out together. What You Will Do 1. Content Strategy (The Brain)• Creative Development: You aren't just a pair of hands; you are a creative partner. Sit down with the Founder before every shoot to brainstorm: "What is the hook? What is the trend? How do we make this boring business moment go viral?"• Idea Testing: We're open to testing everything. If you think a specific editing style or camera angle will work better, we're open. 2. On-Set Production (The Hands)• Camera Operation: You will operate the primary camera (provided by us) during shoot days. You don't need to be Spielberg, but you need to know how to frame a shot, check lighting, and keep it steady.• Audio Monitoring: Manage the lavalier mics to ensure our founders are heard clearly.• The "Runner" Work: Help move lights, set up tripods, and reset the room between scenes. 3. Post-Production (The Story)• Media Management: Offload footage at the end of the day and organize it so it’s safe.• Social Editing: Take the long footage and help cut it into short, fast-paced clips for TikTok/LinkedIn using our templates. (We will teach you why we cut it that way for the algorithm). 4. The "Co-Pilot" Work• Creative Input: Sit with the Founder and brainstorm—"What if we filmed the intro like this?" or "That segment was boring, let's cut it." Your opinion actually counts here. What You Get (The Mentorship) Since this is an unpaid placement, our priority is your learning. You will receive direct 1-on-1 mentorship from the Founder (a Senior Marketer & Strategist) on:• Business Strategy: How a media brand is actually built and monetized.• Marketing Psychology: Why certain content goes viral and how to engineer it.• Career Coaching: Resume review, portfolio building, and a professional reference letter upon successful completion. Requirements• Basic Camera Knowledge: You understand the basics of exposure, focus, and framing.• Editing Interest: Experience with CapCut, Premiere, or DaVinci Resolve is highly preferred.• No Gear Required: You do not need to own a camera. Just bring your creativity. Bonus The higher the contribution, the higher the credit we will list you as on the production. For example if you are able to help us get participants for The Startup Speed Run, we are happy to list your as the Casting Director
